Bearing The Weight of my Checkered Past
4.5 x 4.5"
Original acrylic painting created on a handmade base of paper mache on wood. This is a new medium I have been experimenting with, creating painting supports that are lightweight with beautiful subtle texture. Art comes ready to hang.
The Pattern Cat series returns! This piece features a fluffy cat with blue and pink checked fur, in front of a matching background. It balances a squat striped vase on top of its head, full of surreal leaves and flowers, all painted in shades of pink and blue with purple shading. The background has a wash of metallic silver that is visible from certain angles.
➽ Painting is protected with a Satin clear coat.
✿ Please note colors on your screen may not match the art in person. Touches of fluorescent paint have been used throughout the piece ✿
✦ Recommend displaying indoors and out of direct sunlight ✦
Thank you!
