Vivid Viola

12 x 12"

Reclaimed .040 aluminum is hand cut, filed, and manually hammered into a unique flower shape. A custom made hanging attachment is secured to the back. This lightweight yet durable art piece can be easily hung from a nail or picture hook.

The brightly colored viola is entirely hand painted without the use of stencils or guides, which makes each piece a special individual. Curving purple petals with deep red veining seem to float over a warm tangerine petal with dark orange shading. The center pops with bright yellow and small touches of white. Painting is created in a trompe l'oeil style which gives a dimensional effect on the smooth metal surface.

This giant flower will be beautiful in all decor settings, from a simple cottage style kitchen, to a contemporary maximalist living room. The only limit is your imagination!
