UFO Cats in the Boomerang Dimension

...Something small and colorful whizzes by. A bird, a butterfly? But it's night, they wouldn't be flying around. It goes by again, hovers in front of your face: a tiny spacecraft! Rainbow lines emanate from the ship, or are they a natural phenomenon the spacecraft is using to facilitate interstellar travel? Two miniscule creatures peer at each other and then at you. Their tiny antennae move as they appear to communicate telepathically. A flash of light blinds you, and then they're gone, the night is silent and dark. Dazed, you stand there some time longer, waiting...

Reclaimed 20 gauge aluminum has been cut into a groovy boomerang shape and hand hammered to round the edges and give dimension. The edges have been manually filed smooth and a hand made hanging bracket is attached to the back.
We use a spray primer for metal so I may paint the artwork using artist's acrylics. The dark background with concentric lines is hand painted in multiple layers to create depth and a variety of interesting transitions. Some colors have a metallic sheen. Tiny starbursts and stars have been added over the rainbow pulse lines.
The reddish pink UFO hovers in the central radius of the colorful phenomenon, and inside two teensy cat like creatures float. Both are accented with metallic paint.
