Wait For Later Alligator
4.5 x 4.5"
Original acrylic painting created on a handmade base of paper mache on wood. This is a new medium I have been experimenting with, creating painting supports that are lightweight with beautiful subtle texture. Art comes ready to hang.
Delft blue cats in a blue, blue world. Piece started as a stylized "tile" with loosely painted florals in a symmetrical layout, bordered with gold metallic paint. A blue alligator with patterned skin balances a pitcher on its head filled with flowers, while a kitten rests on its snout. The eyes are gold, with subtle accents throughout the figures and flowers.
➽ Painting is protected with a Satin clear coat.
