LAVAGRL #002 "Tina don't play"

The LAVAGRL series are pop art portraits of expressive women, characterized by exaggerated abstract hair and highly stylized faces. Even with the use of otherworldly skin tones, this series celebrates the range of ethnicities and personalities of Earth's dynamic women.

Original art made from reclaimed sheet aluminum, hand hammered from the front and back giving the art a curvy dimensionality and a surreal life of its own. Ready to hang from a hand made aluminum attachment.

Tina is painted freehand and her palette is chosen with both precision and intuition. The push and pull of the competing color values brings you a painting that enlivens your wall. Bright blobs of turquoise, mint and spring green float on deep purple with darker plum shading. The gradients of her face are created in shades of orange, pink, pale purple and white, with touches of yellow in the highlights.

Eyes have a touch of metallic paint

Clear coated in Matte

Measurements taken from the back at the two widest points

Please remember colors will appear brighter and more vivid when viewed on your back-lit screen
